Amanda arrives! The next morning we leave for Paris in my little rental (Opal Corsa 5 speed). It was below freezing and the car was covered in ice!

Arrived in Paris and promptly got lost near the Moulin Rouge club in the Montmartre district. Got a map and proceeded around the Arc de Triomph towards the Rue St. Cler neighboordhood of the Tout D'Eifel.

After checking in to the hotel and taking a nap we head out for dinner in a classy restaurant down the street. Here you can see we're enjoying the french atmosphere and wine.

It's lucky I know french because it made ordering food much easier, however the menu still had some strange things I didn't understand. Amanda's food was great (lobster ravioli and fish), mine was kinda weird: a mash of cold ham (jambon) for an appetizer and the same cooked for dinner... to my untraind palet it reminded me of dogfood.

After dinner our tour of the City of Lights begins. The taxi-driver gave us a tour (in french) of many historic sights. Here you can see the Notre Dame.
